How the project is organized

Capture dates

Content is organized by when it was captured—not when it was uploaded. A new capture date should not delete or replace earlier documentation.

Layers

3D modelsThe measured three-dimensional model.
PhotosRegular or aerial images grouped by capture date.
360 panoramasPanoramic views grouped by capture date.
VideosProject videos, when available.
Orthophotos & DSMMapping and elevation layers.
Ground control pointControl points, when included in the delivery.
Important: the eye icon controls map visibility. Opening an album should not automatically change layers already shown.

Photos and panoramas

  1. Select a capture date.
  2. Open the album for that date.
  3. Select a card to open a photo or panorama.
  4. Use Show on map to move to the item’s location.
  5. For panoramas, use the mini map to understand position and viewing direction.
  6. Return to the album to select another item.

On a phone, the panorama remains primary. The mini map stays compact, shows camera direction, and avoids covering the image.
An item may show an approximate location, unknown direction, or unavailable elevation when the source file did not contain reliable evidence. Skylens displays the limitation instead of inventing a value.

Downloads and sharing

Your organization decides which files may be downloaded or shared. If Download or Share is missing, the action is usually not enabled for your account or project.

  • Do not forward a temporary file URL copied from the browser.
  • Do not share a password or an active session.
  • Ask the Client Project Owner before requesting broader access.
  • Report when a user leaves the organization so their access can be reviewed.

Who approves access changes?

The Client Project Owner is the person appointed by the client to approve users, access levels, download permissions, delivery completeness, and questions about missing material.

Skylens support carries out client-approved requests; it does not set your organization’s internal access policy.

Report a problem

Include:

  • project name and capture date;
  • item or filename;
  • a screenshot and the full page address;
  • device and browser;
  • approximate time;
  • what you expected and what happened.
Never send a password or verification code.
